We are looking for a Python Software Developer to join our technology & strategy analytics team. This is an onsite role in our Westerville, Ohio office. This role involves collaborating with our retail clients to implement store planning and real estate processes in software. This position also partners with our in-house team to write and debug code for new software features and analytical projects. Applicants should have a strong knowledge of programming languages and the development processes.
We are looking for someone local to the Columbus, Ohio area. This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Learn the codebase and processes for maintaining the technology stack.
Participate in development meetings for issue tracking and code review.
Collaborate with the team to design, write, and maintain code.
Fix software bugs.
Learn and participate in the implementation process for new retail clients.
Assist in troubleshooting and client support.
Support research and analytics projects by processing and loading data.
Core Qualifications:
Relevant bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
At least 4 years of experience in software development in a professional environment.
Experience writing code with Python, Java, JavaScript , HTML, CSS.
Experience using APIs and/or developing interfaces.
Experience using SQL to update and retrieve data.
Attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to collaborate and communicate in a team environment
Additional Relevant Skills:
Experience with data science and associated Python libraries such as pandas and scikit-learn
Experience with Python report-writing libraries such as openpyxl or reportlab
Experience as a Project Manager
Experience with JavaScript frameworks such as AngularJS, React, or Backbone.js.
Experience with UNIX or LINUX.
Experience with Excel using advanced formulas and/or writing VBA macros.
Experience with Bootstrap CSS framework.
Experience with Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3).
Experience with JIRA for issue tracking.
Experience with git/Bitbucket for version control.
