Element has a current opening for a Bioaerosol Scientist to join our growing team in Eagan, MN.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring successful progression of Bioaerosol projects through method and protocol development, design of research and development projects and implementing or validating new methods or adapting current methods.
Understanding of HVAC and engineering operations of laboratory, with ability to troubleshoot and improve lab mechanical operation.
Responsible for serving as technical and regulatory leadership resource to customers, potential clients and the entire Element Eagan Labs team.
Develops/Implements new or revised technical methods and integrates new service offerings.
Maintains effective relationships with other management, staff and departments to deliver high quality service to the organization.
Utilizes all financial, operational, administrative, and technical resources needed to accomplish the responsibilities of this position.
Evaluates and assesses project results, provides recommendations for future improvements.
Provides support to the commercial team, attends customer visits, and/or conferences when necessary.
Work with the commercial team to prepare quotations, proposals, protocols and sales presentations as needed.
Work with members of commercial and operational teams to improve performance and client satisfaction.
Communicate effectively with internal personnel, as well as external customers.
Build teamwork within department and all other company departments.
Represent department and the organization favorably and in accordance with established Company standards and associate attributes at all times.
Implements systems and communicates processes intended to prevent recurrence of routine control failures or unplanned deviations in the laboratory.
Responds to inquiries from the General Manager and other management regarding test results, special requests, etc.
Requirements:
Thorough understanding of governing regulations and pertinent scientific literature to ensure overall compliance.
Ability to make complex mathematical computations, use statistical techniques in the treatment of data, and interpret and apply findings.
Ability to maintain records, and prepare reports and correspondence.
Able to give full attention to what other people say, take time to understand the points being made, and ask questions as appropriate.
