As we scale operations to meet increasing demand, we are seeking a strategic and execution-focused Supply Chain Director to lead procurement, logistics, inventory management, and production planning. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing, CPG supply chains, retailer compliance, and cost optimization.

Key ResponsibilitiesProcurement & Vendor Management

  • Develop and maintain strong vendor relationships, negotiating contracts for cost savings, service levels, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, co-manufacturers, and third-party logistics (3PL) providers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Implement supplier scorecards to track performance on pricing, lead times, and quality compliance.

Inventory & Production Planning
  • Develop and maintain a demand planning model to align production with sales forecasts and retailer orders.
  • Manage cycle counts and inventory accuracy, minimizing stockouts and excess inventory costs.
  • Optimize safety stock levels across different product categories to balance demand variability.
  • Work with manufacturing partners and co-packers to ensure efficient production scheduling and raw material allocation.

Retailer & eCommerce Fulfillment

  • Manage eCommerce outbound freight for Amazon, Walmart.com, and other online channels, ensuring fast and cost-effective fulfillment.
  • Develop logistics strategies to reduce freight costs, improve carrier performance, and optimize shipping lanes.
  • Work cross-functionally with sales and finance to support seasonal demand surges, promotional events, and new product launches.

Operational Efficiency & Cost Optimization
  • Analyze freight spend and supply chain costs, implementing initiatives to drive efficiency.
  • Develop KPIs to track logistics performance, inventory turns, and supplier compliance.
  • Identify opportunities for automation and digital transformation within the supply chain.
  • Collaborate with warehouse and fulfillment teams to transition from third-party fulfillment to in-house operations.

Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead a team of five direct and indirect reports, including procurement, inventory management, and logistics personnel.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation in supply chain processes.
  • Act as the supply chain liaison between finance, sales, and production teams to align operations with business goals.

  • Knowledge of OTIF, routing guides, and retailer compliance requirements.
  • Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, ERP systems, Power BI, or equivalent analytics tools).
  • Proven ability to develop and manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
