JustinBradley's client, a leading source of mortgage financing, is seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst II to join their team. The role involves understanding business context, documenting data requirements, and performing detailed data analysis. The Data Analyst II will collaborate with business users to define functionality, develop test plans, and ensure the successful integration of large data projects. The ideal candidate should have experience in business/data analysis, strong SQL and analytical skills, and experience with Agile, Jira, and Data Warehousing. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a consulting environment are essential.
Responsibilities:
Understand business context and problems and communicates them clearly in written and oral format.
Work with the business users to understand & document the functionality requirements.
Understand existing architecture and data flows.
Perform data analysis.
Provide detailed business and data requirements including complex data mappings
Answer questions and scenarios that may come up as the developers and testers work off the business requirements.
Create process flows, presentations and reports to document recommendations and deliver them to the business stakeholders.
Performs detailed analysis of complex business processes, data requirements and proposes solutions.
Work with the team to develop detailed scope, requirements and other SDLC documents as required.
Develop test plans, test cases, procedures, and documents given business requirements and design documents.
Requirements:
4+ years of experience in documenting business and data requirements for systems development projects.
4+ years of experience in a consulting environment with a focus on business and data analysis. Prior experience in MS-Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access), Visio Strong SQL, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Understand business context, problems and communicates them clearly in written and oral format.
Work with the business users and leads to understand & document data requirements.
Understands basic relational databases as well as user interface design.
Experience working on large data Integration projects.
Exceptional organizational skills, analytical skills, strong written and verbal presentation skills
Excellent written and oral communication skills; be able to convert the business requirements into clear and detailed functional requirements for the development team to code; be able to coordinate meetings with other teams effectively.
Experience with documenting business requirements and testing results.
Take a proactive approach to understand the functionality of DQ asset with minimal guidance from business users and technology leads.
