The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team and managing the daily operation of the business. They will be responsible for maintaining the standard of work from employees as well as onboarding and hiring new team members.
General Manager Job Descriptions:
Manage the successes of Naylor Seed through -
Managing the sales teams, setting KPI's for them, coaching them in closing sales, and managing calls/visits/new customers each week.
Over see the Production manager, to insure that products are delivered timely, the mill never sits empty, and that there is adequate inventory
Manage Inventory levels
Ordering product in conjunction with Accounting
Making leadership decisions on sales discounts and managing profitability
Lanch the inventory management system, and start using it to streamlining.
Over see facilities maintenance and upkeep
Work with Finance on developing cash flow plans, equipment purchases, derive margin changes
Explore avenues where the company can improve marketability and sales.
Fill staffing needs
Explore new market lines.
Cover for others when they are out ill, productions, and sales.
Work, in conjunction with our marketing department, to put on customer appreciation events, and opportunities to network to our customers. To create newsletters, catalogs, and other content we need to be effective in selling the product.
There will be some mandatory Saturdays in cleaning season (12/1-4/1) not every Saturday, just when the job calls. There will be mandatory Saturdays in spring and fall, as the company needs. You will ultimately be responsibly for the performance of NSC.
