The Flight Academy is a boutique flight training and adventure tour organization specializing in Cirrus Aircraft. Our mission is to provide world-class flight training experiences, catered specifically to those interested in the highest standards of aviation, adventure, and safety. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our dynamic team.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee the financial records and manage office operations at The Flight Academy. This is a key position responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing office supplies, assisting with client communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and office administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
  • Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable.
  • Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Handle payroll processing, tax filings, and other compliance-related financial tasks.
  • Maintain accurate records for all company expenses, receipts, and financial documents.
  • Office Administration:
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring the office runs efficiently and effectively.
  • Handle scheduling, office supplies, and general office maintenance.
  • Provide administrative support to the leadership team as needed.
  • Assist with client communications, inquiries, and appointment scheduling, greet clients and vendors.
  • Answer and direct calls.
  • Customer & Vendor Relations:
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
  • Manage and track contracts, agreements, and service-level expectations.
  • Aviation Industry Knowledge (preferred):
  • While not required, familiarity with aviation, flight training programs, or the Cirrus Aircraft brand would be an asset.

Qualifications:
  • Education:
  • A four-year degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing office operations and providing administrative support.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks,) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
