The Flight Academy is a boutique flight training and adventure tour organization specializing in Cirrus Aircraft. Our mission is to provide world-class flight training experiences, catered specifically to those interested in the highest standards of aviation, adventure, and safety. We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Bookkeeper/Office Manager to join our dynamic team.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Office Manager to oversee the financial records and manage office operations at The Flight Academy. This is a key position responsible for maintaining accurate financial reporting, managing office supplies, assisting with client communications, and ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping and office administration.
Key Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management:
Manage daily financial transactions, including accounts payable/receivable.
Reconcile bank statements and monitor cash flow.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial forecasts.
Handle payroll processing, tax filings, and other compliance-related financial tasks.
Maintain accurate records for all company expenses, receipts, and financial documents.
Office Administration:
Manage day-to-day office operations, ensuring the office runs efficiently and effectively.
Handle scheduling, office supplies, and general office maintenance.
Provide administrative support to the leadership team as needed.
Assist with client communications, inquiries, and appointment scheduling, greet clients and vendors.
Answer and direct calls.
Customer & Vendor Relations:
Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and partners.
Manage and track contracts, agreements, and service-level expectations.
Aviation Industry Knowledge (preferred):
While not required, familiarity with aviation, flight training programs, or the Cirrus Aircraft brand would be an asset.
Qualifications:
Education:
A four-year degree
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or a similar role.
Proven experience managing office operations and providing administrative support.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
Experience with accounting software (QuickBooks,) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
