Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join a groundbreaking team for an exciting new manufacturing facility in Indianapolis. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the startup of a greenfield facility, ensuring its smooth transition into manufacturing operations.
As a key member of the automation team, you will work on integrating machine data into real-time control systems, optimizing operational efficiency, and provide critical data insights. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and leverage advanced automation tools to make immediate improvements in production processes.
Responsibilities:
Oversee and manage industrial control systems and other relevant software to monitor, track, and improve manufacturing operations.
Ensure seamless integration and data flow between machines, systems, and centralized visualization platforms.
Use data from systems to optimize production processes, troubleshoot operational issues, and improve system performance.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain and upgrade system configurations and ensure systems are aligned with production goals.
Implement real-time data visualization solutions to provide operators and leadership with actionable insights.
Provide support for troubleshooting and resolving system and control issues, ensuring smooth operations.
Work closely with other engineers and IT teams to integrate automation systems into the broader manufacturing infrastructure.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in automation, industrial controls, or systems engineering.
Experience with Rockwell Automation products such as PLCs, VFDs, or HMIs.
Familiarity with system integration using APIs, data connectors, or middleware.
Strong understanding of data flow synchronization between systems.
