Saras Micro Devices' vision is to be a leading component and power delivery network solutions provider for semiconductor devices. To achieve this vision, Saras needs a talented, experienced senior-level capacitor engineer familiar with component manufacturing processes and materials, preferably focused on processes and materials used in the manufacturing of solid polymer foil capacitors. The role is a full-time, on-site position, and the candidate will be a critical member of our R&D team. The candidate will work on the development and characterization of passive component processes and materials.
Position Overview: The nature of this internship program is to support Saras Micro Devices with the execution of their product roadmap gate goals. Specifically, this internship will involve working with R&D Process Engineering to develop/improve current processes with a focus on scaling to low-volume manufacturing.

Online training and process familiarization by end of week 2 of 8
Planning
Project scheduling completed by end of week 2 of 8
Understand wafer/dicing tape properties as well as mechanisms for removing passive components from tape.
Proposals submitted by end of week 3 of 8
Components ordered by end of week 4 of 8
Installation and commissioning complete by end of week 6 of 8
Based on research of industry best practices, develop a process for Pick & Placing with a focus on improving efficiency and yield.
Final design proposals submitted by the end of week 4 of 8
Components ordered by end of week 5 of 8
Installation and commissioning complete by end of week 8 of 8
Develop designs to increase the efficiency and ease for the dip coating process.
Develop methods/practices to maximize throughput for the carbon screen printing process.
Assist with process documentation and measurement analysis
Optical inspections with Keyence Microscope as needed
Report generation as needed
Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in Bachelor's Degree Program (Junior or Senior year)
Program Area of Study: Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
