How you will make contributions that matter...
The HR Generalist is responsible for day-to-day administration of policies and programs typically covering most of following recruiting, compensation and benefits, training, employee and labor relations, safety, and team member support.
Oversee/coordinate resolution of employee concerns/complaints, coaching/discipline, investigations, work performance, a positive employee environment according to Company philosophy & values, polices, & applicable laws & regulations.
Responsible for internal/external recruitment to include staffing needs, recruitment ads, application screening, interviews, selecting qualified candidates, reference checks and/or background checks, job offers, new hire on-boarding.
Provides Affirmative Action administration support. Responsible for logging internal candidates/applications and managing ATS. In the case of OFCCP Audits, gathers and assembles data for all hourly positions, coordinates with internal and external legal counsel, and provides research support.
Act as a resource for managers, supervisors/employees on policies, procedures/practices pertaining to human resources & benefits. Ensure maintenance of applicable plant policies, procedures, documents related to Human Resources (i.e. job descriptions, work rules, etc.)
Records new or revised pay rates in HRIS and/or time keeping systems. Enter new employee information in HRIS system. Review wages computed and correct errors to ensure accuracy of payroll.
Compiles time and attendance data to include hours worked, sick time, vacation or PTO, leaves to upload to payroll team. Generates reports as needed. Completes employee transactions in Workday in support of payroll.
Coordinate employee functions & activities with assistance from employee committees.
Support daily attendance activities, update Kronos to ensure integrity of attendance policy.
If a union exists, ensure Collective Bargaining Agreements are followed. Provide grievance resolution support. Maintain sound business relationships with union stewards and business representatives. Serve as a resource for contract interpretation. Process all paperwork regarding the union (pension, dues, seniority list).
Support internal/external audits.
Assist in identifying and planning development strategies for internal talent.
Generate and lead change initiatives with a positive, enthusiastic approach. Influence others to adapt to change.
Establishes proactive Employee Relations Programs that promote the development of the workforce.
Supports and implements training initiatives.
Provides support and coaching to management teams in all people planning related processes.
Adhere to the Saputo code of ethics and actively apply the Saputo Values.

You are best suited for the role if you...
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years HR experience in employee relations, nonexempt and exempt recruiting, consulting, leadership development, talent development, and/or compensation/benefit administration.
Ability to consult with business partners on talent management and organizational design issues.
Demonstrates business maturity and integrity, especially when dealing with highly confidential information.
High level of Emotional Intelligence (EQ) including strong self-awareness/management and ability to build strong relationships with business leaders.
Ability to lead others through the problem-solving and decision-making process.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, HRIS/Workday a plus!

Salary: $60,135- $75,170
Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training
