About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Senior Composites Manufacturing Engineer to help bring space-ready composite structures to life. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in bridging the gap between design theory and production reality. You'll be responsible for rapidly iterating and prototyping, working directly with composites to create flight-ready deployable structures for our spacecraft. Responsibilities
Develop and refine composite manufacturing and prototyping processes that support fast iterations.
Be actively involved in hands-on production, performing layups and prototyping new ideas quickly.
Build space-ready deployable composite structures, starting with our initial spacecraft and continuing with future missions.
Create scalable, production-ready processes to manufacture thousands of deployable reflectors for upcoming spacecraft.
Ideal Qualifications
Extensive experience in composite manufacturing, particularly with thin structures or materials designed for space or other innovative applications.
Strong hands-on skills, with great attention to detail in composite work.
Proven track record of developing production processes from the ground up, including implementing design improvements for manufacturing.
Familiarity with the design and production of deployable structures and solar sails.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a focus on iteration and refinement.
