Contract HR Business Partner/HR Manager
Location: Hybrid (Onsite 1 day/week in Norwood, MA)


Our client, an IT consultancy in Norwood, MA, is looking to bring on a Contract HR Business Partner/HR Manager for a 6-month assignment. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of HR experience, particularly in handling compliance, employee relations, benefits and leave management, and strategic HR partnership.



Responsibilities:

• Serve as a point of contact for managers and employees on employee relations issues, offering guidance and support on performance management, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.


• Ensure benefit elections for new hires and qualifying life events are processed in a timely and compliant manner.


• Track leave of absences and support leave administration internally and with external vendor(s), including state leaves.


• Enforce existing HR processes, policies, and practices while keeping an eye to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.


• Support managers in HR decision-making by providing timely advice and expertise.


• Ensure employee data in HR systems is accurate and up to date.

Qualifications:

• 10+ years of progressive HR experience.


• Proven experience in navigating complex employee relations issues, investigations, and compliance with labor laws.


• Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance regulations at federal, state, and local levels.


• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build trust with employees and leadership at all levels.


• HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, PHR, or equivalent) is preferred, but not required.
