Job Description:

Must Haves:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 8+ years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree and 6+ years of relevant experience
  • Process improvement methodologies experience -- Ex: SPC, DFMEA, Lean Six Sigma
  • Full product lifecycle experience (design to manufacturing launch + volume production)
  • High-volume semiconductor equipment manufacturing experience
  • Virtual design process experience -- Ex: VisMockUp, Technomatix, Camero/CATIA, Creo
  • SAP enterprise resource planning experience
  • Schematic and wire harness design knowledge
  • Experience using Modular BOM's
  • Statistical software program experience -- Ex: Minitab, JMP
  • Knowledge of design and quality tools to evaluate manufacturing and design for failure modes and effects analysis

Plusses:
  • Experience in complex equipment/product manufacturing
  • Vacuum/UHV and clean room experience
  • Semiconductor machine tool manufacturing
  • Knowledge of signal processing methodologies
  • Certification in Lean Six Sigma

Day-to-Day:

Our client is seeking a senior level NPI Manufacturing Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for being a NPI leader and managing concurrent engineering with volume production, problem solving and overall program management. Responsibilities can include the following:
  • Lead the transition of new products from design to production, defining critical method instructions, and ensuring milestones are met on time and within scope
  • Define and drive product architecture to create a Configure to Order strategy
  • Collaborate with suppliers and engineers to optimize product design, architecture and improve manufacturability as well as implementing methods related to DFA (design for assembly) or DFT (design for test)
  • Develop and manage BOM structures, including creating ECMs and ensuring alignment with sourcing, manufacturing and test strategies
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical mechanical, electrical, operational and/or control issues during final testing. Recommend and implement measures for production or quality improvement
  • Continuously improve manufacturing processes using Lean, Six Sigma, and data-driven methods
  • Support product lifecycle management at contract manufacturing sites and provide regular status updates, solving any issues at large identified via a preventative action plan

Compensation:

$106k/yr to $135k/yr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
