RUST Embedded Software Engineer




Dedham, MA




Permanent Placement




Salary- $127,241.00 - $136,000.00

Responsibilities:

• 
  Embedded software development for custom, in-house hardware, supporting high-speed data and advanced security solutions.


• 
  Develop embedded software for custom cybersecurity hardware in a cross-functional, mission-driven environment.


• 
  Turn CONOPS, specifications, and requirements into software designs, code, test plans, and execution.


• 
  Write and maintain RUST, C, and C++ code for real-time, multi-threaded embedded systems.


• 
  Utilize software development tools for integrated development environments (IDEs), version control, defect tracking, and scripting.


• 
  Work with hypervisors, device drivers, and virtualization technologies, particularly ARM virtualization extensions.


• 
  Support long development life cycles by maintaining and refreshing technology as needed.

Qualifications:

• 
  Education: Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related STEM field.


• 
  Clearance: Active DoD Secret Security Clearance required.


• 
  Experience: 5+ years in embedded software development.


• 
  Technical Expertise:
  
  
  
  • Proficiency in RUST, C, and C++ development.
  
  
  • Experience with real-time multi-threaded embedded software, preferably on Linux OS.
  
  
  • Knowledge of hypervisor technology and ARM virtualization extensions.
  
  
  • Familiarity with device drivers and low-level hardware integration.
  
  
  • Model-based development experience, preferably with Rhapsody and UML.
  
  
  
  


• 
  Preferred Qualifications:
  
  
  
  • Experience with long development lifecycles and product sustainment.
  
  
  • Extensive background in object-oriented design and programming.
  
  
  • Familiarity with Linux kernel development and embedded security applications.
