The Project Manager, Forensics & Collections will manage individual client projects and serve as a team member on complex matters. The role will support all project management activities required to support the Forensics and Collections Group. The Project Manager will document all project requirements for the operations team and coordinate the initiation, planning and execution of each phase of a project’s lifecycle. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and met throughout the project.
Responsibilities Include:
Provides day to day management of individual projects, including providing on-going information and direction to other forensic team members and other interested parties
Responsible for ensuring client requirements are defined and met for all phases of forensics projects
Must be able to manage most aspects of forensics projects on an independent and self-directed basis
Ensures that proper quality control measures are in place on project deliverables via internal workflow management system and that appropriate checks are applied to ensure quality, accuracy and completeness
Interact with vendors for some services from scoping of project through billing
Works closely with collection resource coordinator as well as forensic consultants to ensure accurate and timely completion of all requests
Functioning as a backup for resource coordinator when coordinator is not available, or when workloads demand
Holds primary responsibility for project details that do not require an SME to perform, schedule adherence and customer satisfaction
Manages client communications (both oral and written) with an expectation that all communication must be clear, concise and well written
Holds primary responsibility for a smooth transition and/or hand-off to a Client Services Project Manager if and/or when the project requires data processing, hosting or document review services or the reverse - when a project that has required such services becomes a project that requires forensic and/or collection services
Attending scoping calls to understand and document project requirements for distribution to all interested parties
Assisting with the creation of project estimates and with the process of making sure that estimates are adhered to or change requests are made. Reconciles work performed vs. invoiced, and participates in the overall invoice review process
Ensures project requirements and deadlines are met, as well as takes appropriate action when such deadlines are in jeopardy of not being met
Communicates early and often with interested parties so that they are kept informed about important aspects of each project.
Job Requirements:
Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Must have three to five years of consulting, project management experience, litigation support or paralegal work experience in top-tier law firm, consulting firm or at a computer forensics/electronic discovery vendor.
Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must possess the ability to interact effectively with different levels of client contacts (technical staff, paralegals, and partners).
Must possess the ability to provide team direction and motivation for daily project activities.
Must possess the ability to develop and execute a project plan.
Must possess the ability to comprehend and explain technical concepts both internally and externally.
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office, and should possess extensive experience with Excel.
Prior Computer Forensics project management experience is desired.
In-depth knowledge of forensic collection, analysis and processing is highly preferred.
Client and staff training experience is desired.
Must be able and willing to travel to various client locations. However, expected travel is 10% or less.
This position also requires high on-call and after-hours availability.
Experience with common Computer Forensics technology, such as Encase, FTK, etc. is desired.

The Compensation range for this role is 67,482.90 - 134,965.20 USD annually and may be eligible for an annual bonus. Actual compensation within that range will be dependent upon the individual's location, skills, experience and qualifications.
