Position Overview:

We are seeking a Customer Quality Engineer to be the primary quality liaison between our company and key customer accounts in North America. This role involves working closely with internal teams, including Sales, Customer Service, Operations, and Quality, to ensure product performance meets customer expectations. The successful candidate will drive quality improvements, facilitate problem resolution, and support ongoing customer relationships through proactive communication and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Act as the primary quality contact for strategic customer accounts.
  • Utilize quality systems and problem-solving tools to enhance overall product performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and maintain quality reports for customer deliverables.
  • Investigate customer concerns, identify root causes, and develop corrective action plans.
  • Drive reductions in customer-related product returns by addressing root causes and implementing preventive measures.
  • Ensure all customer specifications align with internal product requirements.
  • Lead on-site customer audits and certification processes.
  • Manage customer feedback and expectations to support continuous quality improvement.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve quality issues and implement process enhancements.
  • Lead cost-reduction initiatives related to quality and production efficiency.
  • Support and comply with relevant quality management certifications, such as ISO 9001.
  • Travel up to 25% as needed to provide customer support.

Qualifications & Skills:
  • Strong background in quality engineering, manufacturing processes, and product improvement methodologies.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in problem-solving tools, data analysis, and quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles, SPC, and root cause analysis techniques.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in manufacturing environments, particularly in injection molding and automation systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field, or CQE certification.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or similar role.
  • Familiarity with customer quality processes and compliance standards in manufacturing.
  • Experience in working with statistical methods and process control tools.
