We're hiring for a Glass & Glazing Project Manager on behalf of my client, a well-established and highly respected glazing contractor in the Houston area. About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you'll be responsible for overseeing commercial glass and glazing projects from start to finish, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards. This role requires exceptional organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple stakeholders, including clients, vendors, and installation teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Oversight - Manage commercial glass & glazing projects from bidding to completion, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Client & Vendor Coordination - Act as the main point of contact for clients, architects, general contractors, and suppliers.
Estimating & Budgeting - Work closely with estimators and project teams to develop accurate bids, budgets, and schedules.
Team Leadership - Collaborate with field supervisors and installation crews to ensure quality and safety standards are upheld.
Problem-Solving - Proactively address any project challenges, delays, or design modifications.
Compliance & Safety - Ensure all work aligns with industry regulations, safety standards, and project specifications.
Qualifications & Experience:
Experience: 5+ years in project management within the glass & glazing industry.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of curtain wall, storefront, window wall, and other glazing systems.
Leadership: Proven ability to manage teams, subcontractors, and vendors effectively.
Software: Proficiency in project management software and industry-related tools (AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Procore, etc.).
Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interface with clients and teams.
Problem-Solving: Ability to think on your feet and handle fast-paced project demands.
