About the Role
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Scheduler with extensive Microsoft Project expertise to support defense programs. This role is critical to managing complex Integrated Master Plans (IMP) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) within an Integrated Product Team (IPT). The Senior Scheduler will ensure program timelines, identify risks, and maintain compliance with DoD contract requirements. This position requires a deep understanding of DoD scheduling standards and a proven ability to work with program managers and technical teams.
Responsibilities
Develop, maintain, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for defense programs using Microsoft Project.
Perform critical path and schedule risk analysis to ensure program milestones are met.
Work closely with functional leads, program managers, and control account managers to align schedules with project goals.
Generate reports for leadership, including EVM metrics, Gantt charts, and performance dashboards.
Ensure compliance with DoD contract deliverables (CDRL, DID, etc.) and maintain audit-ready documentation.
Work within the company's ERP system (Deltek Costpoint) as part of the transition to the new platform (training provided).
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field with 5-7 years of scheduling experience, OR
No degree but 10-12 years of direct scheduling experience in the defense sector.
Microsoft Project Super User - Must have expert-level proficiency in developing DoD-compliant master schedules.
Strong knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM), critical path analysis, and risk mitigation strategies.
Experience working on DoD contracts and understanding government scheduling requirements.
Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Deltek Costpoint or similar ERP systems.
PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP) or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Knowledge of defense procurement processes and contract execution.
Work Environment & Schedule
Location: On-site in Dallas, TX, with hybrid flexibility (up to 2 remote days per week).
Schedule: 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM.
Travel: Not required.
Pay range and compensation package
Salary Range: $120,000 - $150,000 (based on experience).
