Key Responsibilities
As a Construction Management Intern, you will:
Assist in Project Execution:
Participate in the construction of cast-in-place footings, grade beams, columns, walls, slab-on-grade, and slab-on-formed deck.
Support the development and implementation of project plans, schedules, and budgets.
Technical Learning and Application:
Apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios, enhancing your understanding of construction management.
Gain experience in form construction, reinforcement installation, concrete placement, and quality assurance.
Collaboration and Coordination:
Work alongside experienced professionals, including project managers, superintendents, and foremen.
Coordinate with various stakeholders such as engineers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution.
Project Management Support:
Assist in project scheduling, cost estimation, and quality control measures.
Help navigate and resolve challenges related to project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Skill Development:
Develop essential soft skills including communication, leadership, and problem-solving through active participation in projects.
Engage in teamwork and contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
Performance Evaluation

Mentorship:
You will be assigned a dedicated mentor who will monitor your progress, provide guidance, and act as your primary point of contact.
Feedback Collection:
Regular feedback will be gathered from project managers, superintendents, and foremen on various aspects of your performance, including technical skills, problem-solving abilities, communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols.
Capstone Exercise:
In the final week of your internship, you will participate in a capstone exercise-a mock interview for a project similar to the ASC Reno Competition.
Develop a comprehensive project approach covering project planning, scheduling, budgeting, resource management, quality control, and risk assessment.
Present your project approach to a panel of Suntec executives, demonstrating your project management abilities and understanding of construction management principles.
Receive constructive feedback on your presentation, highlighting strengths and areas for improvement.
