Job Summary of the A/R Specialist


The Accounts Receivable (A/R) Specialist is responsible for the collection of accounts receivables and accuracy of customer profile in the company's accounting system. This position researches and resolves payment discrepancies and follows up with customers who have overdue accounts. The A/R Specialist will also work with Axogen's Sales, Customer Care, Contracts, Treasury and Finance Departments.

The A/R Specialist will play a key role in optimizing cash flow by proactively engaging with customers regarding overdue accounts, processing customer payments, and ensuring accurate application of payments within the company's accounting system.


Requirements of the A/R Specialist

• High School Diploma or equivalent, AA degree preferred
• At least 2 years of accounts receivable experience
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Outlook, Excel and Word
• Microsoft Great Plains (ERP system) experience desired
• High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent customer service skills
• Work well under pressure and meet deadlines

Responsibilities of the A/R Specialist


The specific duties of the A/R Specialist include but are not limited to:

• Ensures accurate application of payments received into ERP system
• Researches and resolves payment discrepancies
• Monitors and follows up on overdue accounts
• Coordinate with departments to ensure required data is on time and accurate
• Assists audit by providing supporting documentation
• Assists with customer invoicing questions
• Maintains customer billing contact information

This position is eligible for an annual bonus. Hourly Pay Range


$19.65 - $24.56 USD
