Position Overview: Our client is looking for a highly skilled and proactive leader to head their Facility Maintenance team, specifically focused on HVAC systems. This leadership role will be responsible for managing all aspects of HVAC maintenance, from task delegation to overseeing the execution of repairs. The role demands a strong understanding of industry standards, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to operational excellence.
Primary Duties: • Assess and prioritize HVAC-related maintenance requests and coordinate necessary repair schedules. • Direct and oversee a team of HVAC technicians, ensuring all tasks comply with operational standards, safety regulations, and good manufacturing practices. • Monitor the progress and quality of HVAC repair projects, ensuring timely completion. • Offer expert guidance and support for complex repairs or new installations, including handling system overhauls. • Maintain accurate inventory management for refrigerants, including procurement and documentation. • Lead training programs for HVAC staff, covering best practices, safety measures, and operational procedures. • Assist in the professional growth of junior team members through mentorship and ongoing education. • Provide support for facility maintenance operations, which may involve transporting equipment to external locations as necessary.
Key Requirements: • Strong background in HVAC maintenance and repairs, with hands-on experience. • Knowledgeable in safety protocols, HVAC regulations, and manufacturing guidelines. • Excellent leadership abilities, including the capability to train and mentor team members. • Proficient in tracking and documenting maintenance activities and repairs. • Experience in managing refrigerant inventories and maintaining compliance with related policies.
