We're seeking an experienced Estimator with a strong background in design-build projects within the roofing and coating construction industry. If you have the technical expertise, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for delivering accurate project estimates, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
Estimate Project Costs: Prepare detailed, competitive cost estimates based on design specs, material take-offs, labor, and scope.
Review Design Plans: Collaborate with teams to assess designs and ensure cost-effective, practical solutions.
Material & Labor Analysis: Research market trends, vendor pricing, and analyze material/labor requirements.
On-Site Visits: Conduct site inspections and gather data for accurate estimates.
Bid Preparation: Lead bid proposals, including cost breakdowns and schedules.
Cost Control: Monitor budgets throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring financial goals are met.
Risk Assessment: Identify risks and suggest mitigation strategies.
Client Interaction: Serve as the main point of contact for clients during the estimation phase.
Collaboration: Work closely with project teams to align estimates with project scope.
Vendor Relationships: Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Required Qualifications:
Experience: 5+ years in estimating within the roofing and coating industry, with a design-build focus.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Industry Knowledge: Expertise in roofing and coating systems, installation methods, and standards.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in estimation software (ProEst, Bluebeam, Buildertrend), Microsoft Office, and reading architectural/structural drawings.
Communication: Strong verbal/written skills to present estimates to clients, teams, and stakeholders.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional analytical skills and a meticulous approach to cost assessments.
Problem-Solving: Ability to identify cost-saving opportunities and adapt to project changes.
