The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the procurement function, developing and implementing strategic procurement strategies, developing relationships with trade partners, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring the effective and efficient procurement of goods and services. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement, excellent analytical and communication skills, has the ability to build lasting business relationships, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Position Functions:
Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the organizational goals and objectives
Managing the procurement process from sourcing to delivery
Identify and negotiate contracts with vendors and trade partners to secure the best possible prices and terms
Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and trade partners to ensure high-quality products and services
Conduct market research to identify new suppliers and negotiate contracts with them.
Monitor and report on procurement metrics, such as cost savings, quality, and supplier performance
Identify areas for improvement in the procurement process and implement changes as necessary
Onboard Subcontractors and ensures that project-specific requirements are captured
Experience Required:
Purchasing: 2 years (Required)
General Contracting: 2 years (Required)
Required Skills:
Excellent negotiation and communication skills
Ability to develop and execute strategic plans
Demonstrated ability to drive results and meet targets
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent experience within the construction industry.
