Summary:
The Reliability Engineer drives efforts to ensure desired reliability and maintainability of equipment,
processes, and safety systems. This position promotes and supports the implementation of reliability initiatives in the Maintenance Excellence Process (MEP) context. The position identifies and manages risks that could adversely affect plant reliability and operations. The Reliability Engineer manages life cycle assets and risk management for critical plant equipment.
What you'll be contributing:
Manages, monitors and optimizes reliability aspects of the Maintenance Excellence Process (MEP).
Develops a risk management plan that will anticipate reliability-related risks that could adversely impact plant operations
Reviews Key Performance Indicators (KPI) to measure and analyze plant reliability processes
Provides technical support to production, maintenance, and technicians
Prepares CAPEX documents for reliability program-related expenditures
Prepares cost avoidance reports for PDM findings
Performs Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) data analysis
Analyzes online condition monitoring data and initiates workflow process based on risk analysis
Provides direct oversight of projects and contract labor during plant annual maintenance periods
Develops PM and PDM tasks for newly installed equipment
Conducts safety meetings and work area inspections on a regular basis to ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements.
Coordinates and schedules predictive maintenance activities and tasks
Solicits feedback and ideas from PdM technicians to improve efficiencies and effectiveness of predictive maintenance activities and tasks
Provides guidance, coaching, motivation, training, and development to direct reports
Maintains records of timesheets, attendance, and Paid Time Off (PTO) and ensures compliance with company policies of each
To succeed in this position, you will need:
Ability to analyze facts and to exercise sound judgment in arriving at a conclusion
Minimum 4 Year / Bachelors Degree in Electrical, mechanical engineering, or related technical field
Minimum 3 years in related process industry with significant experience in the support of maintenance work processes, inventory, failure analysis, reliability theory, continuous improvement methods, and a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Societies for Maintenance and Reliability Professionals (SMRP) and Life Cycle Engineering.
Proficient in English written, verbal communication and listening skills
Ability to make decisions and solve problems with high attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to perform, organize and prioritize work independently
Ability to interpret complex statistical data, and methods required to analyze the effectiveness and use of KPIs and PDM information.
Knowledge of reliability practices and procedures as they relate to heavy industrial machinery and/or cement manufacturing.
Knowledge of reliability principles including failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), vibration analysis, lubrication and tribology, thermography, etc.
Knowledge of workflow management and the application of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) in the improvement of equipment and facility reliability.
Ability to work under general supervision with specified policies, objectives, and guidelines.
