Voyatek is seeking applicants to occupy the position of Senior Manager, Subcontractor Management, within our operations team. This role will work closely with our contracts, service lines, recruiting and project teams build, implement, manage, maintain and enable effective and transparent subcontractor compliance and processes. This role offers remote work opportunities.


Responsibilities:



Establish subcontractor processes and structure:



  • Develop and own a streamlined contracting process to ensure consistency across the organization and alignment of cross functional support teams

  • Serve as a single point of contact for all parties and stakeholders related to information on Voyatek's subcontracting and subcontractors

  • Set up a database (or other tools and methods) to track vendors, skills and rates

  • Work with Operations to create and lead subcontractor new hire orientation


Manage subcontractor requirements and relationships:



  • Vet and onboard new qualified 3rd party vendors

  • Negotiate for the best rates with vendors based on available market data

  • Serve as the POC for new subcontractor outside of the project team

  • Establish and maintain relationships with preferred vendors

  • Maintain open communication with subcontractors, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project alignment.

  • Regularly track subcontractor performance, identify potential issues, and address any concerns or delays.

  • Conduct vendor assessments and gather feedback from Voyatek leaders on vendors with strong performance and those with whom we should monitor or cease our partnership. This includes conducting periodic reviews, reporting, and trend analysis.

  • Address and resolve any conflicts or disagreements that may arise between project leadership and contracts

  • Work with project managers and HR on conversions to full-time employment, as requested.


Create, track and promote compliance:



  • Work closely with security team to track and manage yearly training required by projects or the company

  • Work closely with project managers on project end dates, rate changes and subcontractor renewals

  • Lead effort to onboard subcontractors to various projects, working with various internal teams to provide successful onboarding experience

  • Lead offboarding effort for subcontractors and ensure equipment is returned and access is revoked

  • Comply with MBWE and other state certifications


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study

  • 8 + years of experience working in state and public sector, technology & consulting environment



  • Strong understanding of state and local procurement procedures

  • Experience working with 3rd party vendors

  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills

  • Leadership skills and the ability to roll out new processes as required by the business

  • Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions

  • Proven track record of managing subcontractor relationships



  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to work in a fast paced, constantly changing environment



The wage range for this role considers the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. This includes, but is not limited to, skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and geographic location. At Voyatek, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current annual range is $ 116,000 to $191,000. This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus. This position is classified as exempt in accordance with applicable law. This position is classified as exempt.
