Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Recovery Specialist Supervisor in the Unity Place Southprogram at Behavioral Health Network!
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Unity Place South program with the following:
Providing leadership to and supervision of the Recovery Specialists to ensure quality care that incorporates the clinical understanding of addiction, dual diagnosis, and related health care issues.
Monitoring medication administration and oversight and documenting incoming and outgoing medications.
Assisting staff in developing co-occurring treatment skills and fidelity to the evidence-based practices utilized at the program.
Questioning and recognizing clinical problems or situations that require creative, innovative solutions and assisting colleagues in identifying alternative solutions.
Overseeing client activities.
Assisting in the selection, coaching, and counseling of staff and resolving personnel issues.
Recognizing and employing adherence to regulations and requirements of licensing and funding sources.
Maintaining strict confidentiality of individuals served information at all times in accordance with 42 CFR.

Unity Place South at BHN, a 16-bed co-ed program in Springfield, MA, provides residential rehabilitation services to individuals suffering from addiction and mental illness.At Unity Place South, staff empower those we serve to be in the 'driver's seat' of their lives and clearly define their needs, wants, hopes and dreams. What are we looking for in a Recovery Specialist Supervisor?
High School Diploma or GED equivalent (required).
At least two years of supervisory experience (preferred).
At least one year of experience in substance abuse treatment environment (required).
Bilingual in Spanish & English (preferred).
Commitment to client empowerment and growth, human rights, and community integration (required).
Ability to understand, empathize, and work with an addicted population, including those with co-occurring disorders.
Knowledge of DPH Bureau of Substance Addiction Services.
