The South Adams County Water & Sanitation District (SACWSD) is dedicated to providing reliable, affordable and sustainable water resources and services in order to protect public health, the environment, and quality of life. We are seeking an individual for the role of Development Review Coordinator within our Development Department.
This position provides plan review and support in the development review process including:
Plan review and approval for applications and design plans for new development within the District
Ensures grant and acceptance of utilities agreements compliance
Assists developers and contractors with development/engineering reports and plans to ensure conformance with District design specifications, rules and regulations.
Participates with the City of Commerce City and Adams County governments development pre-planning meetings, process improvement discussions, and attends other relevant industry meetings to gather additional knowledge and represent the District. Coordinates with inspection and mapping personnel ensuring as-built drawings are obtained and incorporated into District records Assists with the development and update of District rules, regulations, design criteria and design standards
The qualified candidate must have:
Bachelors Degree in civil engineering or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum four (4) years experience in municipal government, public works or private industry development Land development, inspection, engineering or plan review background preferred. Solid knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices with emphasis on design and construction of water/wastewater systems. Solid knowledge and understanding of current professional planning processes and infrastructure improvement. Solid organizational, communication and writing skills required, with an orientation for details. Specialized mapping software knowledge and Bluebeam Revu helpful.
Successful candidate will be required to complete a background check and drug screen prior to employment.
Position may have hybrid schedule opportunities of remote work 1-2 days per week.

Salary Range: $68,672 - 103,019 annualized
