Audit Manager Position Overview The Audit Manager is responsible for leading audit engagements, managing audit teams, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role involves planning, executing, and reviewing audits, providing insights and recommendations to improve client operations, and managing relationships with key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage audit engagements from planning to completion.
Review and analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Oversee and mentor audit staff, providing guidance and support throughout the audit process.
Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and provide valuable insights.
Develop and implement audit plans and strategies to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of audits.
Identify areas of risk and recommend solutions to improve internal controls and processes.
Prepare detailed audit reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation required.
Proven experience in audit management and execution.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and auditing standards.
Proficiency in Excel and experience with audit software such as CCH.
Experience with General Ledger and Assurance services.
Familiarity with tax regulations and compliance matters.
Experience in working with Non-Profit, Government, Employee Benefit Plans, or Healthcare sectors is preferred.
