Physical Requirements Sitting for extended periods of time; repetitive motions typical of desk work.
Shift 40 hours per week; Mostly Monday through Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm but there will be some evenings and weekends.
Job Summary This staff psychologist position is a generalist position focused on
providing counseling and therapy services to students as well as
providing outreach programming on a variety of topics relevant to
college student adjustment, mental health and well-being. Specific
expertise in a variety of areas related to college students is
encouraged and welcomed. The UKCC is committed to excellence,
welcoming a wide range of clients for psychological services and
those seeking consultation. Applicants with experience working with
individuals with eating disorders and body image concerns are
encouraged to apply. Counseling Center staff work from a Health at
Every Size (HAES) framework and support a wide range of
individuals with varying backgrounds, body sizes and shapes. Ability
to work with all students is essential.

This Psychologist Staff II position provides UK students with direct
psychological services and programming in the areas of personal
concerns, academic success, and career exploration/decisionmaking,
as well as providing outreach, crisis intervention, and
consultation services. These functions support the Center and
University mission of retention and the success of our students.
Candidates must have completed ALL requirements for the PhD or
PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology (including all coursework,
the dissertation defense, final dissertation submission, and
internship) by the start date and be eligible for temporary license as
a psychologist in Kentucky.

languages(s) other than English.

be grounded in peer-reviewed literature, national best practices,
and data-informed decision making. Collaborating with the campus
and community, Student Success will work through a holistic lens to
support a community of learners in achieving success.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities Ability to coordinate a key functional area of the Center, using on-going assessment of UKCC and campus needs.

Preferred Education/Experience PhD or PsyD in Clinical or Counseling Psychology and at least 2 years of paid experience + eligible for temporary license as a psychologist in Kentucky.
