Summary:



The Director of Support Services oversees the day-to-day operations of the support services department. The Directors play a key role in the strategic future of the Environmental Services (EVS) and Transportation departments to improve patient services.



Responsibilities:



Works collaboratively with the Senior Leadership team to set strategic long-term goals that align with the healthcare system's strategic mission.Works closely with Department Leaders to ensure effective and efficient operations of system integrated support departments.Participates in the identification, planning, implementation and evaluation of support programs and services to ensure a focus on quality and safety of patient care. Analyzes and presents growth opportunities.Maintains compliance with system-wide agreements with Group Purchasing Organizations to ensure targets are achieved to maximize financial rebates and optimal pricing.Directs and evaluates support services operations, including information technologies, service level determination, and compliant management to achieve performance and quality control objectives.Other responsibilities include human resource management; professional development of self, department leaders and staff; accountability for financial objectives and departmental budget; and ongoing department-specific strategic program development.Responsible to ensure that the support services departments provide the highest quality services in a cost effective and efficient manner to enable patients to have optimal service.
