Senior Tax Accountant-Fiduciary Income

A well-established law firm is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Tax Coordinator to support its Private Client Department. This role involves facilitating and assisting in the preparation of fiduciary income tax returns. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance Required


• 5+ years of Fiduciary Tax Preparation required


• 5+ years' experience preparing Form 1041.


• 3+ years' experience with OneSource and CCH Axcess fiduciary tax software required


• Familiarity with SEI platform is a plus.


• Prior experience in a client-facing role with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.


• Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.


• MS Office, Advanced Excel


• Previous experience in Financial Services, Banking, or Legal environment required

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with fiduciary income tax administration, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of federal and state tax returns for trust accounts.


• Collaborate with trustees throughout the tax return process, keeping them informed and providing guidance as needed.


• Prepare and file fiduciary income tax returns using OneSource ProSystem fx fiduciary tax software.


• Coordinate with an external accounting firm during the transition to outsourced tax return preparation, ensuring a smooth exchange of information.


• Provide excellent client service, working directly with trustees and beneficiaries on tax-related matters.
