Cable Assembler II at Total Quality Assembly in Chesapeake, Virginia

Job Description:

Total Quality Assembly (TQA) LLC is a cable manufacturing firm which serves the North American market with cable assembly and harnessing vehicle racks. Its headquarters is located in Chesapeake, Virginia/USA. TQA is a subsidiary company of INIT Inc. 

TQA is looking for a Cable Assembler II position which involves assembling and inspecting cable assemblies, ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications, using hand and power tools, and following manufacturing procedures.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assembly of electrical and RF coaxial cables according to product specifications, Blueprints, sketches and BOMs


• Ability to work from detailed instructions and conform to quality guidelines


• Ability to work on various machines like crimping, stripping etc.


• Assembly of cable harnesses / Rac’s according to product specifications


• Use of hand and power tools


• Able to set up cable tester to test cable assemblies.


• Basic manual soldering


• Other duties as assigned

Technical Knowledge/Skills Required:

• Must be able to communicate well and function in a team or group environment


• Good attendance, attitude, and work ethic


• Basic manual soldering experience


• IPC certificate and/or understanding of IPC guidelines


• Requires 2-3 years experience in cable/harness manufacturing


• High school diploma or equivalent

Physical Demand:

• Must be able to lift up to 40-50lbs


• Must be able to distinguish colors


• Could be doing the same work task for a longer period of time


• Could be sitting or standing for long periods of time

• TQA Production Manager


• Work location: In person
