Due to continued growth, we are seeking a HR Operations Specialist in our Midtown Atlanta headquarters to join our team. This role will work closely with the Human Resources team and other operations professionals on a variety of tasks and projects as we enter the next phase of company growth
Responsibilities
Onboarding:
Fully manage new hire onboarding process including, but not limited to welcome phone calls and emails to new employees, coordinating, tracking, collecting all paperwork and assisting employees as needed through the process.
Manage and audit the I-9, visa, and background check processes for new employees, ensuring compliance.
Serve as the primary point of contact for new joiners during the onboarding phase, addressing any questions or concerns promptly.
Facilitate new hire orientation sessions, including scheduling and conducting orientations; outside of regular work hours as needed for international new joiners.
Partner with the Benefits team to ensure timely enrollment and communication of benefits to new hires.
Develop and maintain a structured onboarding process by creating and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Create and maintain comprehensive onboarding documentation, materials, and resources to streamline and enhance the new joiner integration process.
Coordinate with local office leadership, operations and other internal teams before new joiners' start date to provide necessary information to ensure a successful first day.
Set up new hires in the HRIS system (Workday), ensure accurate entry of all necessary information and timely completion of all onboarding steps
Coordinate travel and logistical arrangements for location-based onboarding/training sessions.
Offboarding:
Fully manage employee offboarding process including, but not limited to executing offboarding procedures, ensuring all stakeholders are notified, return of company assets, transition of responsibilities and that all necessary paperwork and next steps are completed in a timely manner
Liaise with Benefits and local internal operations teams to ensure proper benefits termination and visa management.
Provide clear communication and guidance to employees throughout the offboarding process, addressing any questions or concerns in a timely manner.
Conduct exit interviews to gather feedback from departing employees and assess the employee experience through surveys and conversations.
Terminate employee in the HRIS system (Workday), tagging the proper reasoning and notes
Develop and maintain a structured offboarding process by creating and following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
Additional Responsibilities:
Create and manage employee personnel files, maintaining up-to-date and organized records
Support relocation and transfer processes for employees, ensuring smooth transitions to new locations and job assignments.
Manage the onboarding and offboarding of subcontractors, including notification to stakeholders, collection and filing of contractual agreements, conducting Workday Orientation sessions as needed, and creation/deletion of Workday profiles
Monitor new hire turnover and retention rates, updating and maintaining internal tracking workbooks.
Gather employee feedback during the onboarding and offboarding phases to identify areas for improvement
Continuously assess and refine the onboarding and offboarding processes to enhance efficiency
Stay updated on industry best practices and trends related to onboarding and offboarding to develop a dynamic and innovative approach within the firm.
Assists with other general administrative and project support as required

Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and online tools/platforms
Technical Experience
Previous experience working in a small to mid-size global professional service company is preferred.
Understanding of labor laws to include local and federal mandates regarding rate calculations, statutory leave allowances, etc. (global experience, a plus).
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years' related work experience required.
Workday experience preferred, but not required
PHR, SPHR, CPP, FCP or other HR related certifications a plus
25-50% travel required
International HR experience a plus
