Trinity Lutheran Church in Gardnerville is looking for a welcoming and reliable Office Manager to make a meaningful impact on our operations, members and staff.
As Trinity Lutheran Church's Office Manager, you will be responsible for day-to-day office operations, including staff, project and vendor management, accounting and other administrative tasks. The Office Manager reports to our pastor but does not need to be a member of Trinity. The ideal candidate must have excellent managerial and organizational skills, heightened attention to detail and accuracy, and the ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly.
Additionally, as the "face of the church" the ideal candidate should enjoy interacting with people face-to-face and online in a cheerful and caring manner.
Major Responsibilities:
Prepare and print church bulletins.
Maintain relationships with vendors/suppliers.
Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. Generate financial reports for the Treasurer.
Supervise, develop and review office staff. • General office duties (i.e. answer incoming calls, greet visitors, order supplies, etc.)
Maintain church records.
Maintain church calendar, including use of facilities.
Review and track contracts, when appropriate.
Recommend and implement Church Council and Voter's Assembly approved processes and procedures. • Project management of church office building.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in managing a small office.
Working knowledge of QuickBooks.
Excellent knowledge of MS Office.
Good interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Able to multitask, prioritize and manage time effectively.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
Team player.
Project management experience is a plus.
Bachelor's degree in business or related field desired.
Position: Full-time Exempt (in-office)
Reports to: Pastor
Salary: From $50,000+ (based on experience) + Retirement and Health Benefits (including 100% employer paid health care for employee)
Other: Ideal candidate does not need to be a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.
