Job Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for appropriately evaluating the cost of a project, and evaluating the cost to take on that project. The candidate will be familiar with our competitive advantages as an organization and will be able to communicate those to our benefit throughout the bidding process.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain knowledge of competitive advantages in the industry to aid bidding process
  • Resolve cost discrepancies by collecting and analyzing information
  • Obtain accurate quotes for materials and systems to establish accurate cost estimates

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience
  • Solid understanding of basic accounting principles
  • Familiarity with blueprints and ability to read plans
  • 1 - 3 years' of construction experience preferred

Job Summary

Responsible for reviewing project specifications, preparing accurate proposals, managing cost estimation, and ensuring all required materials and equipment are sourced competitively. This role requires a strong understanding of the company's mission and vision, as well as expertise in market research, budgeting, and change management to optimize project bids and execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and scope sheets for accuracy.
  • Ensure all bid requirements are met, including special project considerations.
  • Coordinate with Operations and VPO to develop detailed and precise proposals.
  • Research and procure materials and equipment at competitive market rates.
  • Maintain clear and updated financial data for budgeting and cost tracking.
  • Monitor changes in project scope and adjust cost estimates accordingly.
  • Develop and document new estimation methods to improve accuracy and efficiency.

  • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
  • Experience in cost estimation, procurement, and budgeting.
  • Knowledge of market trends for materials and equipment pricing.
  • Ability to manage proposal quality and coordinate with stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and tracking abilities.
