Your impact
The Senior Scheduler collaborates with engineering and construction teams to identify and communicate issues and conflicts affecting the schedule. This role involves analyzing CPM schedules, recommending workarounds, and suggesting schedule improvements. As a key member of the support team, the Senior Scheduler also provides program and project cost management, mentors and supervises junior personnel, and interact with engineering and construction to ensure smooth project execution.
Responsibilities
Manage a team of Schedulers, develop best practices, prioritize workload, and resolve issues promptly.
Train Project Management staff on scheduling procedures and techniques.
Prepare progress schedule reports for the PMO/Program and project managers.
Evaluate and forecast project status against baseline schedules, assess impacts, and report to the PMO.
Monitor earned value to measure progress and performance.
Analyze project timelines and report fiscal impacts and risks.
Prepare concise schedule narratives for assigned projects.
Identify project risks and develop mitigation measures.
Monitor and measure project plan progress and changes, identify variations, and report causes.
Integration and Coordination
Integrate subcontractor and vendor schedules into a master schedule.
Ensure accurate progress reporting through coordination with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors.
Ensure audit compliance with company scheduling procedures.
Organize and document Interactive Planning Sessions (IAP) with stakeholders.
Translate IAP tasks into a sequential project work schedule.

Here's what you'll need
Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or a relevant discipline
7 years in Project Controls on large-scale construction projects (natural gas utility experience preferred)
7 years in Planning/Scheduling
Extensive experience as a P6 Administrator
Proficient with Primavera P6, Microsoft Excel, and Word
Experience with EVM (Earned Value Management) and preparing schedules for natural gas pipeline projects (preferred)
Strong understanding of building construction, timelines, and practices
Knowledge of Project Management principles and the Project Control Cycle
Proficient in CPM scheduling techniques and managing multiple projects concurrently
Ability to develop cost/schedule analysis presentations (graphically, written, and verbally)
Effective communication skills (verbal and written)
Ability to report on project schedules, quality, progress, risk, and milestones
Ability to track field progress and generate various project reports (BAC, EAC, VAC, BCWS, BCWP, ACWP, SV, CV, CPI, SPI, cash flow, manpower)
