This EVM System Analyst II position will offer expert knowledge in Earned Value Management and Project Controls, encouraging optimal planning, scheduling, budgeting, financial analysis, schedule/cost control, and risk management for business needs. They will also oversee business processes and project performance to guarantee sound business and financial controls, and ensure that budget, cost, and schedule procedures align with accounting principles, industry standards, and contractual requirements. This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $44.49 - $71.88

Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading with minimal supervision the development, coordination, tracking and execution, to include:
Provide Project Controls oversight of Capital and O&M projects and adhere to Earned Value Management (EVM) principles
Function as the P6 system administrator, including but not limited to:
Security audit
User access
Code field maintenance
Organizational Break Down Structure (OBS) maintenance
Processing month-end project reporting using EVM system tools
Processing approved baseline changes through the EVM system
Uploading budget, labor offsets, and contingency update files into the financial system
Performing monthly contingency reconciliation in utilizing Power BI
Performing the quarterly Long-Range Plan (LRP) reconciliation to ensure alignment between the LRP, P6, and the financial system
Coordinate project planning for the next fiscal year between Project Controls and Business Planning
Ensure adherence to Project Controls standards and expectations by reviewing initial baseline schedule during the annual budget cycle
Loading the next fiscal year budget and associated files into the financial system during the annual budget cycle
Assist Project Controls supervision in monthly analysis and identify trends in project performance
Identifying and proposing changes and/or improvements to Project Controls reporting
Conduct benchmarking studies for business related issues
Coordinate the maintenance and updating of Project Controls Power BI reports and data sets
Interface with Information Services and Planning, Scheduling, and Outage departments for all planned P6 upgrades
Perform any special assignments and exhibit leadership qualities and demonstrate proficiencies using gained knowledge through experience and education
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 9 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center
OR an AA degree and 11 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center
OR a high school diploma or GED and 13 years of industrial level experience working with financial/accounting/budgeting/risk position, preferably within a large company or profit center
Formal training on Primavera P6 Professional
Certification via the Project Management Institute (PMP, PBA, SP, CAPM, or RMP)
Working knowledge of Earned Value Management (EMV) methodology and practices required
Knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 Professional required
Knowledge and experience with Primavera P6 administration (code maintenance, application security, etc.) required
Utility industry experience preferred
Process Improvement experience
Experience in nuclear power generation business processes including work management, operations, HR, finance, accounting, project management
Previous BWR nuclear power experience in Project Controls with EVMS applications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Power BI, and PowerPoint
Must possess an understanding of planning, financial management, budgeting practices and risk management
Must maintain detailed knowledge and understanding of corporate strategies and management initiatives
Demonstrated focus on developing quality work products with limited oversight and effective at validating expectations
Strong presentation and communication skills and the ability to handle oneself professionally and credibly with audiences from department managers to senior leaders. This will require fielding questions and will often require presentations
Ability to work as a team member or leader
Ability to establish goals, set priorities, and maintain an awareness of interrelationships among activities
Must be able to function as both a service provider and a controller
A general understanding of nuclear plant operations, and more detailed knowledge of the mission and business requirements of supported organizations
Must be generally familiar with project and net billing agreements
A general knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles
Knowledge of BWR plant systems and components, system interrelationships, design basis, and regulatory requirements (FSAR, industry codes, etc.)
Demonstrated ability to maximize performance through leadership is highly desired
