Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated Computational Scientist to join our Computational Oncology team. This is a full-time contract position through the end of 2025, remote in Pacific Standard time.

Assignment Duration- through the end of 2025

Location- Remote, must work in PST House

Pay- $45-$55/hour

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Computational Oncology scientists to analyze large-scale bulk RNA and WES clinical datasets, addressing key scientific hypotheses and generating novel insights.
  • Develop and apply advanced analytical approaches to integrate and interpret multi-omic data, uncovering insights into disease biology and mechanisms of action to advance our pipeline and clinical research goals.
  • Document code, analytical processes, and findings, ensuring the standardization of workflows and reproducibility of results.

Qualifications & Requirements
  • 6+ years of experience in large-scale bulk data analysis (RNA, WES), utilizing both gold-standard methods and advanced analytical techniques, such as:
  • Multivariate statistical analyses
  • Multimodal data integration
  • Predictive and prognostic modeling
  • Expertise in oncology-related areas, including cancer biology, clinical omics, real-world data, or breast cancer research.
  • PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Strong programming skills in R, Python, and shell scripting.
  • Experience with Git and high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
  • Self-motivated with a commitment to delivering high-quality, reproducible results and the ability to work independently to meet critical deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills and a track record of working effectively within cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for computational biology and a strong interest in breast cancer research.
