Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
Oversee the technical aspects of developing, establishing, testing, and improving manufacturing systems and methods.
Ensure standard operating procedures are in place to drive safely, quality, and efficiently.
Collaborate with vendors to determine product specifications and procure equipment, materials, or parts.
Evaluate products against specifications and quality standards.
Work closely with management, engineering, and other staff to facilitate production processes.
Apply statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Analyze labor costs and plan workflow, staffing, equipment placement, and space requirements to enhance manufacturing efficiency and identify bottlenecks.
Ensure accurate metrics for efficiency and productivity.
Assess capacity and resources needed to meet customer demand.
Identify and analyze process and design improvements to reduce costs and lead times.
Ensure compliance with all government laws and regulations.
Recommend new policies or procedures to enhance products or services.
Conduct training and assessments as directed.
Document current and ideal practices and use post-completion audits to ensure compliance with improvements.
Design 3D CAD tooling and fixtures from conception to commissioning.
Maintain regular attendance, punctuality, and the ability to work on-site and cooperatively with others.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a manufacturing environment.
Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with cross-functional teams and high-value customers.
Hands-on problem-solving approach with a willingness to work directly with the manufacturing labor force.
