Quality Manager - AS9102 Experience Required - Onsite

Springfield, MA - no remote option

We seek a dedicated and seasoned Quality Manager with extensive expertise in First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements for AS9102.

In this pivotal role, you will oversee the enhancement of our quality management system and ensure that every process aligns with the aerospace industry's rigorous standards.

You will manage quality assurance processes and spearhead initiatives that foster continuous organizational improvement.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage a small to medium-sized team of engineers and quality personnel.
  • Oversee the company's quality initiatives and personnel.
  • Maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) and adhere to AS9100 Aerospace Standards.
  • Evaluate production operations strategically to ensure products meet quality, integrity, functionality, and other specifications and requirements.
  • Develop and monitor the budget for the Quality Assurance Department.
  • Manage internal auditing activities.
  • Collaborate with management and senior staff across production departments to draft acceptable quality standards and compliance procedures.
  • Develop and implement quality standard testing and evaluation processes.
  • Assess test results and approve recommended changes.
  • Review quality control documentation such as checklists, logs, and reports for effectiveness, accuracy, compliance, and relevance.
  • Periodically report the quality control and operations status to executive leadership and, when required, regulatory agencies.
  • Be accountable for managing the Quality Program and ensuring the timely completion of tasks by the Quality Assurance Department.

Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 years of experience in AS9100 environment.
  • Experience as Internal Auditor; Rev D.
