As a Plant Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and supervising the plant's electrical and mechanical systems, ensuring the effective operation, modification, and maintenance of equipment and machinery within the facility. This role combines technical expertise with strategic planning, requiring strong written and oral communication skills.
This is a direct hire/permanent position with a potential for relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee and optimize plant operations by applying engineering and manufacturing processes.
Supervise contracted resources for process upgrades and preventive maintenance initiatives.
Implement quality control programs and enforce safety measures to prevent accidents and ensure the well-being of both staff and contracted personnel.
Assess the operational efficiency and functionality of plant systems and machinery.
Design and execute plans for the installation, maintenance, and modification of plant equipment.
Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and machinery comply with safety and operational standards.
Identify and troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and system performance issues.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programs.
Collaborate with plant management to create strategies for improving performance and reducing operational costs.
Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations governing plant operations.
Manage inventory of equipment, parts, and supplies necessary for plant functions.
Maintain accurate records of plant operations, equipment maintenance, and safety inspections.
Qualifications:
Proven technical skills in electrical and mechanical systems.
