A rapidly growing startup is looking for a Director of Analytics to lead and expand a team of 15+ product and business analysts. This is a key strategic leadership role where you will shape the analytics function, provide actionable insights to drive business growth, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong business sense and proven experience working with consumer-facing online products.
What You'll Do:
Lead and Grow the Analytics Team: Manage a team of 15+ product and business analysts, with the opportunity to grow the team further by hiring senior-level analysts and managers. Mentor team members and foster a collaborative, results-driven environment.
Strategic Decision-Making: Shape the analytics strategy and develop key metrics for business performance. Use data to provide insights that influence product decisions, customer experience improvements, and business growth initiatives.
Product Analytics Leadership: Partner with Product, Marketing, and Finance teams to drive analytics related to product performance, user behavior, and customer acquisition. Lead efforts to track, analyze, and optimize product outcomes.
Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with leadership and other departments, providing insights that align with overall business goals. Serve as a key partner in strategic discussions to ensure data-driven decision-making across the company.
Business Sense & Consumer Product Expertise: Apply a strong understanding of business analytics to consumer-facing online products. Ensure that insights and recommendations are directly aligned with enhancing customer experience and company growth.
What We're Looking For:
10+ years of experience in data analytics, with 4+ years in leadership roles managing large teams. Experience managing managers is preferred
Proven ability to manage teams of 15+ and lead hiring efforts to further expand the analytics function
Strong business acumen and expertise in product analytics, with experience working at companies with consumer-facing online products.
Ability to shape the analytics strategy and provide clear insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization.
Experience working cross-functionally, partnering with leadership and key stakeholders to provide actionable data-driven insights.
Experience with fast-moving startups or tech companies that are rapidly scaling.
Bachelor's degree in a technical field is required; Master's or MBA is preferred.
