We are looking for a Director of Engineering to lead, develop, and manage our engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess strong RF and electrical experience, combined with exceptional leadership skills to drive innovation, execution, and team growth.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Innovation; Team Leadership & Development; Project & Program Execution; Strategic & Business Alignment
Provide technical direction and expertise in RF and antenna design, ensuring best-in-class solutions.
Drive the development of new products, RF systems, and subsystems from concept to production.
Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and product teams to optimize performance, cost, and reliability.
Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in design and RF engineering.
Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing engineering team that fosters innovation and technical excellence.
Establish clear goals, performance metrics, and professional development plans for engineers.
Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.
Oversee multiple engineering projects, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and high-quality execution.
Collaborate cross-functionally with program management, production, and business development teams.
Implement best practices in design, prototyping, testing, and validation of RF and electronic systems.
Drive design reviews, risk assessments, and compliance with industry standards (MIL-STD, DO-254, etc.).
Align engineering efforts with company goals, market needs, and customer requirements.
Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise in proposals, customer engagements, and new opportunities.
Work closely with executive leadership to define and execute the company's technology roadmap.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in RF, design, or aerospace manufacturing.
5+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
Strong knowledge of RF circuits, phased arrays, and electromagnetics.
Experience in testing, simulation (HFSS, CST, FEKO), and validation methodologies.
Proven track record of leading teams, developing talent, and driving engineering excellence.
Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience working with commercial, DoD, aerospace, or satellite communications markets is a plus.
