A leading commercial painting and specialty coatings contractor is seeking a Construction Change Manager to enhance communication between clients and internal teams while overseeing all change order processes and procedures. This role is ideal for someone with a strong construction background and experience in managing project modifications, scope changes, and client relations.
Position Overview:
The Construction Change Manager will act as a liaison between clients, project managers, and internal teams, ensuring that change orders are efficiently processed, documented, and implemented. This position plays a crucial role in streamlining project modifications, improving workflow, and maintaining transparency across all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and process all change orders, ensuring accuracy, timely approval, and implementation.
Serve as the primary liaison between clients and project managers, ensuring smooth communication regarding scope changes and budget adjustments.
Collaborate with estimators, field teams, and finance departments to ensure that change orders align with project objectives and company standards.
Maintain and improve documentation, workflows, and tracking systems for project changes.
Identify areas for process improvement and help implement best practices for change management.
Ensure all contractual requirements related to change orders are met.
Monitor project progress and proactively address potential change-related issues before they impact timelines or budgets.
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in construction project management, estimating, or contract administration.
Strong knowledge of change order processes, contract management, and construction project documentation.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage client expectations and internal coordination.
Ability to analyze project scopes and financial implications of changes.
Experience with construction project management software (Procore, Bluebeam, Buildertrend, or similar).
Highly organized and detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Background in commercial painting, coatings, or specialty construction is a plus.
