The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as a key member of the Engineering and Production Support team. This individual will be responsible for supporting the key fundamentals of manufacturing, including process development, productivity improvements, cost reduction initiatives, design for manufacturability, and quality enhancements. and services. The Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with sales, service, and production teams to maintain this positive experience. This is a full-time, onsite position in Rome, GA.
Key Responsibilities:
Review and update existing manufacturing designs, drawings, and processes to improve manufacturability.
Serve as the primary point of contact for production employees regarding design-related questions, issues, and improvement suggestions.
Assist in prioritizing and coordinating product and factory cost reduction and improvement projects.
Design tooling and fixtures to optimize the efficient assembly of equipment and products.
Participate as a key stakeholder in the research and design of new product development projects.
Develop and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM), work center routings, and labor hour estimates for fabricating, welding, painting, and assembling equipment from raw material to finished product.
Identify and coordinate continuous improvement activities through production, implementing best-in-class processes and ensuring sustainability.
Coach teams on lean manufacturing concepts across the organization.
Analyze quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Plan and update factory layouts and work centers for optimal production flow.
Lead the research and implementation of new production processes and equipment.
