We are positioned for growth not only in Dallas/Fort Worth but, candidly, across all Texas Geos. This will provide management opportunities for the person who aspires to do more than simply practice law. This position will require development of communication, leadership, analytical, marketing, etc. skills. It presents the opportunity to grow into not only a lawyer but also a successful businessperson.
This position presents a 3-year path to partnership. As such, expectations are greater than simply hitting a 3-year minimum 2100 billable hour requirement. For the right person, this threshold will be easily achievable.
Duties include the following:
Litigation & Dispute Resolution:
- Represent clients in business-related litigation, including contract disputes, employment matters, and regulatory compliance cases.
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and legal briefs for court filings.
- Conduct depositions, witness interviews, and trial preparations.
- Advocate for clients in court hearings, arbitrations, mediations, and administrative proceedings.
- Develop and implement litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Work closely with experts, investigators, and other legal professionals to strengthen cases.
Client Relations & Business Development:
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by delivering high-quality legal services.
- Identify opportunities to expand client engagements and contribute to business development initiatives.
- Attend networking events, industry conferences, and professional forums to enhance firm visibility.
- Assist with marketing efforts, including writing articles, conducting webinars, and participating in panel discussions.
Supervision & Mentorship:
- Supervise and mentor junior associates, law clerks, and paralegals.
- Provide constructive feedback and training to support the professional development of team members.
- Lead by example in demonstrating professionalism, efficiency, and ethical practice.
Firm Operations & Leadership:
- Support the firm's leadership in strategic decision-making and operational efficiency.
- Assist in managing caseload distribution, deadlines, and workflow within the firm.
- Collaborate with partners and other senior associates in improving firm processes and client service delivery.
Compliance & Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to legal ethics and compliance requirements in all matters.
- Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations that impact clients and the firm.
- Monitor and manage legal risks associated with client matters.
Continuing Legal Education & Professional Development:
- Maintain an active awareness of developments in business law and related practice areas.
- Participate in ongoing legal education, bar association activities, and professional training.
- Engage in thought leadership by writing legal articles, presenting at seminars, or contributing to professional publications.
Billable Hour Requirements & Compensation:
- Senior associates are expected to meet annual billable hour thresholds, with compensation tied to performance:
- **1,800 billable hours**: Base salary with standard performance bonuses.
- **2,000 billable hours**: Base + Additional bonus incentives.
- **2,200 billable hours**: Base + Highest bonus incentives.
- New Business Origination Commission plus additional bonus based on earnings
- Compensation structure includes base salary, discretionary bonuses, and potential profit-sharing based on firm performance.

Partner Eligibility Requirements
Experience: 8 - 10 years of legal experience required, minimum 3 years at the firm.
Excellence in Practice: You must demonstrate outstanding legal skill and understanding of the law.
Business Development & Client Origination: Take an active role in generating new business for the firm and maintaining key client relationships.
Financial & Revenue Responsibilities: Meet revenue targets, contribute to firm profitability, and manage billable hour and collection expectations.
Case & Matter Oversight: Oversee complex legal matters, serve as the primary contact for high-profile cases, and delegate work efficiently to staff.
Path to Equity Partnership: Work towards equity partnership through business development, leadership, and financial contributions to the firm.
Other Duties as Assigned:
- Take on special projects and initiatives that support the firm's growth and operational goals.
- Actively contribute to fostering a positive and collaborative firm culture.
