Woods Rogers is seeking to hire an experienced Worker's Compensation Assistant. This position also assists staff and attorneys with other assignments as needed. The ideal candidate will have experience performing assistant tasks and providing administrative support to attorneys in the worker's compensation or personal injury areas of our legal practice.
This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, in-office position at our Norfolk, VA office. The anticipated schedule for this position is eight (8) hours per day, five (5) days per week.
Required Qualifications • Minimum three (3) years of experience working in Worker's Compensation, Personal Injury or an extremely fast paced medical environment.
. Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and adapt to new processes. • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and colleagues. • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. • High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive client information. • Working knowledge of medical terminology • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, specifically with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications • Previous experience working as a Worker's Compensation Assistant or in Personal Injury. • Previous document management experience with NetDocuments.
Responsibilities • Preparation and analysis of medical chronologies • Ability to manage caseload deadlines • Assisting Workers' Compensation Team • Daily communication with doctors and doctors' offices scheduling IME conference calls • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
