XPT Specialty is offering an incredible opportunity in Missoula, Montana, for a Commercial Lines E&S Underwriter/Broker. The successful Producer will possess an entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to develop a profitable book of Commercial Excess and Surplus Lines business in Montana and its neighboring states.

Key Responsibilities: • Develop and grow a profitable book of business while actively prospecting and expanding relationships with retail agents. • Regularly achieve and exceed production targets. • Drive new business opportunities by tapping into new markets and industry sectors. • Assess and evaluate risks of varying complexity ensuring eligibility and profitability. • Negotiate terms with brokers and carrier partners to secure competitive pricing and coverage options. • Track and analyze production, including new business, renewal retention rates, premium growth, and loss ratios. • Provide mentorship and support to team members to promote their growth and development.
Qualifications: • 5+ years in-depth E&S experience. • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding production goals in a sales-driven environment • Ability to effectively negotiate terms with carriers and underwriters. • Commitment to ongoing education and professional growth. • Strong sales, business development, and relationship management skills. • P&C Insurance license.
