Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring the quality and performance of products by various means of destruction and measurement.
RESPONSABILITY
Metallurgical and performance evaluation utilizing tensile, yield, elongation, micro-structure, hardness, pickle and bend test.
Perform, analyze and reporting of non-destructive and destruct tests on mig, projection, laser, and other weld using microscopes, ultrasound, and similar equipment.
Perform Cut & Etch, analysis, and reporting of various welds.
Work with Maintenance, Engineering, and Quality to achieve welding conformance.
Based on metallurgical and mechanical analysis of testing manage the hold and release of production in CMS to ensure compliance.
Train and assist production team in use of ultrasound, torque, and similar equipment
Perform, analyze, and report product coating performance.
Support Quality and Engineering PPAP activities as required.
Perform Gauge R&R (Reliability and Repeatability) studies of lab equipment
Support problem-solving in the organization, using SPC, 5Y, and similar methods.
Housekeeping and other activities as assigned.
Who we are looking for:
1 year experience required
Manufacturing/machine operation, preferably in the automotive field
Ability to interpret technical specifications, GD&T Drawings, and diagrams.
Ability to safely use mechanical destruct tools such as air chisels and hammers.
SKILLS/ABILITIES
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
Ability to read, write, and speak English.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to supervision and other employees of the organization.
Technical math skills.
Excellent attention to detail in analysis, communication, and reporting.
Ability to effectively apply a technical and common-sense approach to problem solving.
Ability to promote Total Quality Management approach at all levels throughout the organization.
Available to work overtime.
EDUCATION
High School Diploma required
Technical background in quality or related field
SPC (Statistical Process Control)
FMEA (Failure Mode Effect Analysis)
