The Role
Wood is currently recruiting for a Junior Electrical Engineer for our Life Science Group based out of Plymouth, PA or Morrisville, NC-USA. Supporting senior engineers in designing, developing, and testing electrical systems. A Junior Electrical Engineer will perform electrical engineering and design for building systems in coordination with the Lead Electrical Engineer. Person will participate in the design effort on large and small project standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Typical responsibilities
Perform electrical engineering and design in coordination with the Lead Electrical Engineer.
Perform basic electrical calculations using computer-based programs.
Develop electrical construction drawings (i.e. lighting plans, power plans, special systems plans, fire alarm system plans, details, single lines/riser diagrams, and panel schedules).
Coordinate design requirements with other discipline engineers/designers and architects.
Assure that drawings and designs are in accordance with company design and production standards.
Participating in the design effort on large and small projects.
Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the US without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future.
QUALIFICATIONS

Expected:
BS degree in Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines from an accredited institution.
1+ years of relevant experience in electrical engineering and design, focused on building systems for Life Sciences or Health Care or Data Centre or Semiconductor projects
Competent in AutoCAD and REVIT.
Competent with MS Excel, MS Word, and Bluebeam.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Desirable:
Working knowledge of the NEC is a plus.
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) designation is a plus.
Experience in Pharmaceutical, Biotech, Life Science, and Laboratory industries is a plus.
