Master's Degree in Nursing, Business Administration, or other healthcare-related field required
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in leadership roles

Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification required

Essential Functions
Oversee the management of clinical operations within perioperative services.
Collaborate with the AVP, Perioperative Services to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care.
Navigate and lead in high-stress, complex environments.
Communicate effectively, tailoring delivery to specific audiences.
Make sound decisions while considering stakeholder input.
Provide leadership and strategic planning for perioperative clinical personnel, ensuring ongoing improvement initiatives.
Verify availability of educational resources and compliance with standards for perioperative team members.
Manage and lead change initiatives within perioperative services and the institution.
Partner with surgeons and physicians to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
Collect and analyze data for quality and performance improvement projects.
Facilitate conflict resolution and serve on multidisciplinary care teams for perioperative planning.
Supervise and enhance orientation, education, and performance evaluation of team members.
Ensure the interviewing, selection, and hiring process meets departmental standards.
Assess and confirm that personnel, equipment, and supplies align with patient care volume.
Ensure compliance with DHEC, DNV, AORN, and CMS standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
Provide guidance, feedback, and support to perioperative personnel.
Pursue professional growth and active participation in professional organizations.
Periodically assess departmental goals, adjusting operations to ensure success.
Review and update departmental policies and procedures.
Develop and oversee an annual Performance Improvement Plan for responsible departments.
Collaborate with the AVP, Perioperative Services on budget recommendations for operating and capital expenses.
Work closely with HR on personnel-related matters.
Manage departmental employees, set performance goals, and allocate resources.
Recognize staff for outstanding performance.
Strategically plan staff resources and ensure records are properly maintained (e.g., competencies, licenses, certifications).
Promote professional growth and development for the team.
Exemplify organizational standards and lead patient satisfaction and engagement initiatives.
Support and implement organizational strategic initiatives.
Provide leadership in sterilization processes, ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized by SPD (Sterile Processing Department).
Perform additional duties as assigned.
